Located at 14600 York Rd, Suite S, Sparks Glencoe, MD 21152, BeeZee Sensory Gym is the premier indoor playground in the region, promoting physical, social, and cognitive development through sensory exploration. Established in 2025 and officially opened in April 2025, our state-of-the-art facility offers an immersive oasis for children of all abilities—nurturing their minds and bodies through imaginative play, sensory-rich learning opportunities, and therapeutic engagement.
We are more than just a gym—we are a mission-based business founded by two mothers and sisters, both raising neurodivergent children. Like many families in similar situations, we faced limited and often exclusionary recreational options for our children. The turning point came when one of our children was removed from a summer camp that claimed to be “inclusive”, simply for being too excited and "disruptive." That moment of heartbreak became a moment of purpose.
We the founders, sisters—one a Doctor of Nursing Practice, a Registered Nurse, and holder of a Master’s in Public Health; the other a PhD in Behavioral Science and a Licensed Social Worker—got down on our knees and decided to build what we could not find: a safe, welcoming space where children like ours could play freely, thrive socially, and create lasting, joyful memories without fear of being kicked out for being themselves.
Today, BeeZee Sensory Gym is a beacon of inclusion, understanding, and empowerment. For inquiries or to book a visit, call us at (410) 977-2570.
Our hours of operation are designed with family schedules in mind:
- Monday–Thursday: 10 AM–7 PM
- Friday–Saturday: 10 AM–8 PM
- Sunday: 12–6 PM
Our facility is carefully designed with equipment that targets the vestibular, proprioceptive, tactile, visual, and auditory systems, supporting the full spectrum of sensory and motor development.
- Balance and coordination tools—parallel bars, balance beams, balance discs, and bowls strengthen posture, spatial awareness, and self-regulation.
- Climbing equipment—monkey bars, a climbing wall, rope ladders, and foam bridges builds physical strength, bilateral coordination, and courage.
- Swings of various types offer soothing vestibular input and promote motor planning, core stability, and sensory comfort for kids of all needs and abilities.
- Motion tools like trampolines, space hoppers, slides, and the foam roller slide make movement fun while building gross motor control and confidence.
- Interactive sensory stations, including our kiddie tactile wall and pulley system, support fine motor skills and encourage exploration through textures, sounds, and visual stimuli.
- Imaginative play elements such as the foam train, spark creativity and strengthen social engagement through movement and pretend play.
Sensory Calm Room: A Sanctuary Within
We understand that play can overwhelm some children, especially those with sensory sensitivities. That’s why we created our Sensory Calm Room—a quiet, soothing space designed to provide gentle regulation and relaxation. It has a variety of soothing features like our bubble tower, complete with floating toy fish! If they need some variety in texture, they can sit on our soft rug, our plush animals, and our textured tiles with all different tactile feelings. The soft lighting, comfortable seating, calming textures, and quiet sensory tools allow children to decompress and reset in a supportive environment. Whether a child needs a break from overstimulation or a peaceful moment to self-soothe, our Calm Room is a safe and judgment-free space where they are respected and supported.
At BeeZee, every piece of equipment is intentional. Every child is welcome. Every family is seen.
As we continue to grow, future plans include structured programming for all children 13 years and under, which will intentionally incorporate olfactory and gustatory sensory activities—an offering rarely found in similar facilities. This expansion will further set BeeZee apart, making us one of the few indoor sensory playgrounds to address the full sensory spectrum through a thoughtfully designed curriculum rooted in science, empathy, and joyful learning.
