What’s a parent to do?
“Doing” the Maryland Home & Garden + Craft Show, October 17-19 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, is the perfect place to get your home ready for winter—and for the warmer seasons beyond!
More than 300 exhibitors at the show will have ideas that will transform inefficient or unattractive spaces into perfect places for busy families. From closet and shelving systems to complete renovation of kitchens, basements, garages, and attics, local experts, contractors and remodelers will help you plan a custom solution for how your family lives. And you’ll discover the latest products for making your home organized, safe, and enjoyable.
It’s not just the inside of your home that might need a little TLC. Be prepared for the harsh winter conditions and the warmer seasons to come. Local landscapers at the show will create huge, walk-through “Outdoor Oasis’s” to show you how your yard can be a welcome reprieve in any weather—think fire pits, pergolas, patios, and grilling stations. (Also think gutters, roofs and windows: you’ll want to make sure those important features of your house are also ready for the elements, and show exhibitors are ready to help.)

The Maryland Home & Garden Show is all about family fun too! Kids will love the Petting Zoo with a host of live animals they can feed and they can try their stroke at a golf simulator. Mom and Dad will love meeting HGTV celebrities Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt, hosts of “100 Day Dream Home,” and shopping for holiday gifts from 100+ local craftspeople. And the whole family will enjoy walking through Tiny Square Space, where refurbished shipping containers have been converted to a Ravens-themed Man Cave, a She Shed, and a Tiki Bar.
